Application preferences

Language

Only English and French are available for now. If you change the language, you must restart the application for it to be effective.

Percussive sounds

By default, Notepan uses the following notation convention:

  • Tak (T) for a stroke on the ding shoulder
  • Slap (S) for a stroke between the notes, on the non-tuned part of the instrument.

Some people (including me) have learned with the opposite notation, i.e tak being a stroke between the notes and slap the ding shoulder. If you are in this case, you can toggle this parameter to switch between the two conventions. All tablatures will be automatically displayed with the notation of your choice.

Reset tutorials

The first time you open a tablature, a tutorial is proposed to you. If you wish to do it again, simply click on this button. The tutorial will reset and start the next time you open a tablature.
